Mojokerto (Jatimsmart.id) – Pemerintah Kota Mojokerto terus melakukan upaya penurunan prevalensi stunting. Beberapa upaya yang dilakukan dengan melakukan Safari Gerakan Masyarakat Makan Ikan (Gemarikan) bagi keluarga yang memiliki bayi stunting dan Pelantikan Forum Peningkatan Konsumsi Ikan (Forikan) Kota Mojokerto. Kegiatan berlangsung di Ruang Sabha Mandala Madya, Kantor Wali Kota Mojokerto, pada Rabu (21/6/2023).
Kepada para peserta Safari Gemarikan, Wali Kota Mojokerto, Ika Puspitasari menyampaikan pentingnya menyiapkan generasi penerus bangsa agar menjadi generasi yang sehat dan cerdas sehingga dapat mendukung salah satu tujuan nasional yaitu Indonesia Generasi Emas di tahun 2045.
“Untuk bisa menjadi generasi penerus bangsa yang lebih baik dari pada kita hari ini salah satu syaratnya harus bebas stunting. Kalau dari kecil sudah terkena stunting akan lebih sulit untuk menjadi generasi yang lebih baik daripada kita hari ini. Padahal ke depan tantangan negara ini menjadi lebih besar,” kata perempuan yang akrab disapa Ning Ita tersebut.
Seperti dipublikasikan Dinas Komunikasi dan Informatika Kota Mojokerto, Ning Ita juga menegaskan pemerintah siap hadir untuk memfasilitasi masyarakat untuk mewujudkan Indonesia Generasi Emas 2045.
“Monggo sareng-sareng kita bekerja sama yang baik. Pemerintah memfasilitasi, Panjengan sebagai pemilik putra dan putri yang dititipkan oleh Allah kita jaga dengan baik. Supaya apa yang menjadi tujuan bangsa ini untuk mewujudkan Indonesia Generasi Emas,” tuturnya.
Ditambahkan oleh Plt. Kepala Dinas Ketahanan Pangan dan Pertanian (DKPP) Kota Mojokerto, Mochammad Hekamarta Fanani bahwa sosialisasi ini dilakukan untuk meningkatkan konsumsi ikan di Kota Mojokerto.
“Kegiatan ini kami lakukan dalam rangka untuk meningkatkan konsumsi ikan di Kota Mojokerto, karena secara nasional konsumsi ikan di Kota Mojokerto masih jauh dari harapan. Dengan adanya sosialisasi ini dan juga pembentukan Forum Peningkatan Konsumsi Ikan (Forikan) ini dapat secara signifikan mengedukasi masyarakat untuk mau mengkonsumsi ikan dengan lebih baik lagi dan nantinya dapat penurunan angka prevalensi stunting di Kota Mojokerto” pungkas Heka.
