Kediri (Jatimsmart.id) – Bupati Hanindhito Himawan Pramana meminta seluruh masyarakat di Kabupaten Kediri stop buang air besar sembarangan dan ditargetkan seluruh desa telah Open Defecation Free (ODF) 100 persen pada 2024.
Capaian ODF di Kabupaten hingga pertengahan 2023 dari 343 desa yang ada, baru 318 desa masyarakatnya sudah buang air besar di jamban yang memadahi. Jumlah capaian ODF tersebut bila diprosentasikan mengalami peningkatan lebih dari 15 persen dari tahun sebelumnya.
“Masih ada 26 desa yang masih menjadi PR, harapannya 2024 sudah tidak ada lagi warga yang buang air besar sembarangan,” kata Mas Dhito dalam acara deklarasi ODF yang bertempat di kawasan wisata Kali Bendo, Ringinrejo, Rabu (21/6/2023).
ODF merupakan salah satu komponen dalam STBM (Sanitasi Total Berbasis Masyarakat). Artinya, program ini mendorong pencapaian kondisi sanitasi total di masyarakat melalui perubahan perilaku yang higienis.
Orang nomor satu di Kabupaten Kediri itu pun mendorong setiap camat, terutama yang wilayahnya belum tuntas ODF untuk aktif melakukan sosialisasi kepada warga untuk tidak buang air besar sembarangan.
“Saya juga berpesan kepada seluruh masyarakat Kabupaten Kediri untuk tidak membuang air besar sembarangan,” tutur Mas Dhito.
Kepala Dinas Kesehatan Kabupaten Kediri Ahmad Khotib menerangkan, STMB merupakan pendekatan untuk merubah perilaku higienis melalui pemberdayaan masyarakat.
Harapannya, program tersebut dapat mencegah munculnya penyakit diare dan penyakit berbasis lingkungan yang berkaitan dengan sanitasi termasuk stunting.
Pada 2023 ini, lanjut Ahmad Khotib, terdapat penambahan 10 kecamatan ODF sehingga keseluruhan dari 26 kecamatan di Kabupaten Kediri, 17 kecamatan dinyatakan telah ODF dan masih tersisa 9 kecamatan.
Selain penambahan 10 kecamatan ODF, terdapat penambahan 50 desa ODF dan satu desa STBM yakni Desa Mejono di Kecamatan Plemahan.
Guna mencapai target pencapaian 100 persen ODF sebagai instruksi bupati, beberapa upaya dilakukan diantaranya yakni dengan gerakan gerakan stop buang air besar sembarangan di semua desa termasuk warga sekolah di sarana pendidikan dalam rangka mewujudkan Desa ODF.
Kemudian, camat diminta membentuk tim Pokja sanitasi yang memantau STBM serta melaporkan ke kabupaten. Desa dapat mengalokasikan anggaran dana desa untuk kegiatan sanitasi terutama jambanisasi.
“Menjadi PR bersama, masih ada 8.412 KK yang masih belum punya akses jamban yang sehat. Itu menjadi tugas kita ke depan,” beber Ahmad Khotib.
Selain deklarasi ODF yang melibatkan kepala desa dan camat di Kabupaten Kediri, dalam acara tersebut bupati menyerahkan piagam penghargaan kepada 10 kecamatan dan 50 desa tambahan yang dinyatakan telah ODF. (adv/kominfo/jek)
