Kediri (Jatimsmart.id) – Di era digital saat ini, menulis surat pribadi sudah jarang ditemui. Pun begitu, materi membuat surat itu tetap diajarkan bagi para pelajar.
Di Kabupaten Kediri, para pelajar kelas VII SMP Negeri 2 Pare mempraktikkan materi yang diberikan guru dengan membuat surat pribadi. Tak tanggung tanggung, para pelajar membuat surat yang ditujukan untuk Bupati Kediri Hanindhito Himawan Pramana.
Surat yang dibuat para pelajar itu, diantaranya diunggah dalam instagram pribadi sang guru. Surat untuk Mas Bup, menjadi kritis bukannya sinis! begitu judul caption dalam unggahan akun instagram Yuni Kuswidarti @yunikusw guru mata pelajaran bahasa Indonesia itu.
Surat-surat para pelajar itu pun bervariatif, mereka menyoroti apa yang ada di lingkungan sekitarnya, termasuk dalam dunia pendidikan. Melalui surat pribadi itu, selain belajar bahasa mereka juga belajar kritis.
Tak disangka, surat dari pelajar yang di posting di Instagram itu dilihatkan dan direspon langsung oleh Bupati Hanindhito Himawan Pramana. Orang nomor satu di Kabupaten Kediri itu pun mendatangi langsung SMP Negeri 2 Pare untuk menemui para pelajar yang berkirim surat padanya.
“Nanti minta surat surat anak- anak ya, karena saya seorang bupati juga perlu kritik. Kritik panjenengan itu vitamin buat saya,” kata Mas Dhito, sapaan akrab bupati Kediri dihadapan para pelajar Kelas VII, Selasa (30/5/2023).
Mas Dhito mengakui kakeknya dulunya juga seorang guru Bahasa Indonesia. Begitu melihat ada guru yang mengajari siswanya belajar membuat surat dan menugaskan untuk mengkritisi pemerintahan menjadikan dia tertarik untuk datang.
“Sekarang ini Kediri slogannya Kediri berbudaya. Kediri berbudaya itu apa sih, budaya menerima kritik, budaya berkelompok, budaya saling membantu, dan masih banyak lagi,” ungkapnya.
Mas Dhito mengapresiasi sikap kritis para pelajar yang disampaikan melalui surat-suratnya. Sebagai bentuk apresiasi, selain memberikan hadiah, suami Eriani Annisa Hanindhito itu juga mengajak para pelajar termasuk guru untuk menginap di Pendopo.
Diajak menginap ke pendopo oleh bupati secara langsung memang tak semua orang bisa memiliki kesempatan itu. Pun begitu, bagi Mas Dhito, pendopo itu dibangun dari uang pajak. Hal itulah yang mendorong pemerintahannya membuka seluas-luasnya pendopo bagi masyarakat.
“Nanti setelah ujian ya, nanti bisa lihat ruang kerja bupati, ruang video conference, tempat bupati menerima tamu,” tutur Mas Dhito.
Tawaran bupati itu pun disambut antusias para pelajar dan guru. Mengingat mereka akan dapat lebih mengetahui lebih dekat pendopo yang menjadi kebanggaan warga Kabupaten Kediri.
Terlepas dari itu semua, kedatangan Mas Dhito menemui para pelajar yang berkirim surat kepadanya itu pun tidak pernah mereka duga. Sebagaimana disampaikan Yuni Kuswidarti, guru yang meminta para siswa menulis surat pribadi untuk bupati.
“Biasanya saya posting pembelajaran di sosial media, ini tadi kaget seperti nggak percaya (didatangi Mas Dhito),” ucapnya.
Melalui belajar mengirim surat kepada tokoh itu, para siswa dapat menjadi lebih peka terhadap lingkungan sekitarnya dan juga kritis. Melihat respon bupati, Yuni pun menilai Mas Dhito merupakan pemimpin yang mau menerima kritik dan masukan dari masyarakatnya.
“Alhamdulilah, beliau memang pimpinan yang mendukung rakyatnya, mau menerima masukan,” tutur Yuni melihat sosok bupati Kediri. (adv/kominfo/jek)
