Blitar (Jatimsmart.id) – Ryu Valentino Suzuki Wibowo menyabet juara umum dalam Kejuaraan Provinsi VIII sepatu roda di Probolinggo, usai memenangkan kategori kelas 100 meter pemula dan juara 2 kelas 50 meter pemula yang di ikuti 29 atlet. 

Ryu Valentino yang mewakili Kota Blitar dalam ajang bergengsi tersebut, merupakan atlet termuda dengan usia 8 tahun. Dia melawan atlet atlet dari daerah lain di Jawa Timur dengan rata rata usia 9 hingga 11 tahun.

“Persiapan menghadapi Kejurprov hanya 1,5 bulan sebelum pertandingan, dibawah pelatih sepatu roda Farhan,” ungkap Ryu.

Ryu Valentino yang masih duduk di bangku kelas 2 Sekolah Dasar Kristen Santa Maria Kota Blitar, berharap bisa mengikuti kejuaraan nasional dengan dukungan penuh dari pemerintah daerah. Bahkan Ryu Valentino yang menurut orang tuanya,termasuk anak yang gaptek (gagap teknologi) bahkan tidak pernah menggunakan smartphone dalam kehidupan sehari hari. Namun dengan begitu, Ryu Valentino bisa berkonsentrasi melakukan latihan sepatu roda sepulang sekolah.

Anak ke 3 dari 4 bersaudara pasangan Isamu Suzuki Wibowo dan Wulan Sari ini,sebelumnya belum pernah mengikuti kejuaraan. Hal ini disampaikan sang ayah, Isamu Suzuki Wibowo yang mendampingi buah hati mengikuti selama di Kejuaraan Provinsi VII sepatu roda.

“Tekat ingin menang,menjadi modal utama bagi anak saya. Selain latihan teknis sepatu roda, saya menggembleng fisik Ryu setiap hari selama 1,5 bulan penuh dengan jogging sejauh 3 – 5 kilometer dan untuk latihan skil dan ketrampilan sepatu roda sudah ditangani pelatih dari Perserosi Kota Blitar,” kata Isamu.

Meski kesulitan mencari lokasi untuk melakukan latihan,namun pelatih dari Persatuan Sepatu Roda Seluruh Indonesia (Perserosi) Kota Blitar terus memberikan arahan maksimal kepada atlet andalan Kota Blitar tersebut.

“Pernah kejadian tidak mengenakan ketika saya mengajak Ryu untuk berlatih di lapangan bola voli Sport Center Kota Blitar namun dilarang penjaga,dengan alasan merusak lapisan lapangan,” tambah Isamu.

Dengan kejadian tersebut,Isamu berharap Pemerintah Kota Blitar memberikan ijin untuk menggunakan semua bagian Sport Center Kota Blitar, dengan begitu ketrampilan atlet atlet sepatu roda pemula bisa disalurkan. Selama ini,Isamu mengandalkan pembiayaan putranya dari 2 perusahaan dari Jakarta yakni  Mayana 33 dan PT Rakai Digital Indonesia.

Sebagai informasi, terdapat 7 kelompok umur yang dipertandingkan dalam kejuaraan ini. Yakni kelompok pemula, dengan usia maksimal 10 tahun. Lalu kategori umur A, B, C dan D serta kategori Junior dan Senior.

Untuk kelompok umur A, B, C dan D mulai usia 7-14 tahun. Sedangkan kategori Junsen berusia 15-17 tahun. Mereka bertanding di kelas speed, standart dan free style. (tok)
