Pasuruan (Jatimsmart.id) – Kapolres Pasuruan, AKBP Bayu Pratama Gubunagi, mengingatkan masyarakat agar tidak memproduksi atau bahkan memperjual belikan mercon alias petasan. Peringatan ini penting untuk disampaikan, mengingat baru-baru ini pihaknya mengamankan sebanyak 4 pelaku yang terbukti memproduksi petasan dalam jumlah banyak.
Bahkan, ada salah satu pelaku yang diketahui sengaja membuat petasan sampai mencapai 10 ribu batang dengan ukuran kecil. Serta beberapa temuan lain seperti potasium, belerang dan mesiu yang merupakan bahan dasar pembuatan petasan.
“Ada empat orang yang kami amankan karena kedapatan memproduksi petasan dalam jumlah yang lumayan banyak sampai 10 ribu batang,” kata Kapolres Senin (27/03/2023).
Menurut Kapolres, penggunaan petasan dianggap dapat menganggu situasi keamanan dan ketertiban masyarakat karena dari ledakannya bisa membahayakan orang lain maupun pelaku itu sendiri.
“Kalau ledakannya besar bisa membahayakan keselamatan banyak orang. Termasuk sudah pasti orang yang membuatnya atau menyalakannya,” ucapnya.
Lebih lanjut Kapolres menegaskan bahwa sebelum mengamankan para pelaku pembuat petasan, Polres Pasuruan sudah melakukan mapping alias pemetaan terhadap wilayah-wilayah yang berpotensi sebagai sentra pembuatan petasan.
Dan hasilnya, para pelaku tersebut melakukan aksinya di wilayah Kecamatan Tutur, Gempol, Purwosari dan Puspo.
“Dulu sempat di Kecamatan Beji, tapi saat ini setelah kami sisir tidak ada. Justru di wilayah lain seperti Tutur, Gempol, Purwosari dan Puspo,” singkat Bayu.
Dengan diamankannya para pelaku serta barang bukti, Bayu menegaskan apabila terbukti memproduksi hingga memperjual belikan petasan, maka tersangka dapat dijerat Pasal 1 Undang-Undang Darurat Nomor 12 Tahun 1951 tentang kepemilikan senjata api dan bahan peledak. Ancaman hukumannya pun tak main-main, yakni 20 tahun penjara dan maksimal seumur hidup.
“Maka dari itu, kami meminta masyarakat untuk betul-betul memahami bahwa memproduksi petasan atau mercon jelas melanggar Undang-Undang. Mari kita jaga ketertiban dan kenyamanan masyarakat dengan tidak lagi menjual belikan petasan, mercon dan sejenisnya,” tegasnya. (red/kjt)
