Jakarta (Jatimsmart.id) – Peluang Ponorogo masuk Jejaring Kota Kreatif UNESCO atau UNESCO Creative Cities Network (UCCN) 2023 kian lebar. Bupati Sugiri Sancoko memaparkan langsung potensi daerahnya di depan panitia seleksi bentukan Kementerian Pariwisata dan Ekonomi Kreatif (Kemenparekraf). Dari lima kabupaten/kota pengusul termasuk Ponorogo, hanya dua yang akan diusulkan menjadi bagian jejaring Kota Kreatif UNESCO.
Kang Bupati, sapaan Bupati Sugiri Sancoko memaparkan potensi ekonomi kreatif Reyog Ponorogo di Hotel Pullman Jakarta itu, Selasa (14/2/2023). Reyog bukan lagi sebatas seni pertunjukan.
“Sudah membudaya dan mendarah daging. Menimang bayi juga memakai iringan musik reyog,” kata Kang Bupati.
Menurut dia, reyog selama ini banyak menjadi sumber penghidupan. Bermunculan perajin miniatur, beragam cinderamata, dan batik tulis motif reyog. “Sumber ekonomi kreatif, reyog juga sebagai modal pembangunan daerah,” terangnya.
Kang Bupati optimistis jika Ponorogo menjadi bagian dari UCCN, maka usaha mikro kecil dan menengah (UMKM) dapat berjejaring hingga skala internasional. Pelaku ekonomi kreatif bakal merasakan manfaat hingga perekonomian ikut tumbuh. “Hari ini kami menyiapkan monumen reyog setinggi 126 meter dan museum peradaban,” jelas Kang Bupati.
Sementara itu, Deputi Bidang Pengembangan Destinasi dan Infrastruktur Kemenparekraf Frans Teguh mengungkapkan bahwa pengusul UCCN harus memahami potensi yang tidak dimiliki daerah lain. Potensi tersebut juga wajib membudaya serta berimbas pada ekonomi kreatif. “Potensi daerah yang memiliki manfaat besar bagi masyarakat,” ungkapnya.
Kata dia, sembilan anggota pansel akan profesional menentukan dua usulan kabupaten/kota yang masuk Jejaring Kota Kreatif UNESCO pada Mei mendatang. “Lima kabupaten dan kota pengusul bersaing ketat,” ujarnya. (red/kjt)
