Kediri (Jatimsmart.id) – Tim Balai Pelestarian Cagar Budaya (BPCB) Jawa Timur melakukan survey penyelamatan obyek cagar budaya di kawasan wisata Kali Tempur, Dusun Kebonagung, Desa Brumbung, Kecamatan Kepung, Kabupaten Kediri. Dari hasil peninjaun sementara, tim meyakini temuan berupa struktur bata tersebut merupakan petirtaan kuno atau pemandian pada era Kerajaan Kadiri dan Majapahit.
“Kita duga ini suatu petirtaan,” kata Wicaksono Dwi Nugroho, Kepala Tim Ekskavasi dari BPCB Jawa Timur, di hari kedua mereka, Selasa (14/7).
Ada beberapa temuan dan analisa yang mendukung dugaan tersebut. Diantaranya, bentuk persegi empat seluas 5,2 meter dengan sisi dalam memiliki panel dan relief yang khas dengan petirtaan masa itu. Juga perbedaan tanah di luar dan bagian dalam struktur. Dibagian luar, cenderung dengan tanah bertekstur kasar. Sementara, di dalam menggunakan bahan tanah liat yang halus.
Belum dapat dipastikan, era peninggalan dari temuan petirtaan kuno ini. Namun, jika dilihat dari temuan sebelumnya di kawasan tersebut berupa Prasasti Geneng 1 masa Kerajaan Kadiri dengan rajanya Brameswara dan Prasasti Geneng 2 pada Masa Tribhuana Tungga Dewi, patut diduga, struktur bata tersebut merupakan peninggalan Kerajaan Kadiri di abad ke 11 dan dilanjutkan hingga era Majapahit pada abad ke 14.

“Terkait dating kita belum ke arah sana, kita masih fokus pada penyelamatan obyek ini,” imbuhnya. Pihaknya masih akan terus melakukan peninjauan hingga 17 Juli 2020.
Sementara itu sebelumnya, struktur bangunan diduga obyek cagar budaya ini ditemukan warga di Dusun Kebonagung, Desa Brumbung, saat hendak menggali tanah untuk membuat kolam renang anak (sebelumnya ditulis kolam pemancingan), sebagai pendukung wisata Watu Tulis.
Temuan struktur bangunan tersebut berada di lahan milik Mohammad Sulton, perangkat desa setempat di atas lahan seluas 700 meter persegi, hampir 1 meter dibawah tanah. (ydk/jek)
