Sumenep (Jatimsmart.id) – Gubernur Jawa Timur, Khofifah Indar Parawansa mengirim 750 ribu liter air bersih untuk warga di Pulau Sapudi, Kabupaten Sumenep, Jawa Timur. Selasa (5/11). Khofifah ditemani Panglima Komando Armada II Laksamana Muda TNI Herru Kusmanto, Danlantamal dan Korem 084.
Penyaluran air bersih ini, dilakukan Pemerintah Provinsi Jawa Timur, bekerjsa sama dengan Koarmada II secara bertahap untuk membantu warga terdampak kekeringan. Kapal pertama yakni satu unit KRI Teluk Ende dengan membawa 500 ribu liter air bersih, 6 jerigen, 300 terpal dan 1 unit mobil rescue BPBD, dua unit mobil tangki BPBD, alkon dan genset, pada Minggu 3 November 2019. Selain itu, puluhan personel BPBD dan Dinsos Jawa Timur juga dikerahkan untuk membantu proses penyaluran.
Senin 4 November 2019, giliran dua kapal tug boat diberangkatkan dengan membawa 250 ribu liter air bersih. Bersama ratusan personel, kapal ini bersandar di Pulau Sapudi, Selasa (5/11) dinihari tadi.
“Untuk mengatasi kekeringan di Kepulauan harus ada ihtiar khusus. Alhamdulillah hasil dari komunikasi kita dengan Pak Panglima Koarmada II, kita bisa mendapatkan armada untuk mengangkut dan menyalurkan air bersih sampai ke masyarakat,” kata Khofifah dalam rilisnya.
Di musim kemarau panjang ini, ada 28 Kabupaten/Kota terdampak kekeringan. Tepatnya di 662 desa. Termasuk di Kecamatan Gayam, Pulau Sapudi, Kabupaten Sumenep ini. Total di Kabupaten Sumenep, ada 5 Kecamatan dan 12 Desa mengalami kekeringan.
Untuk itu, Khofifah juga mengajak masyarakat untuk menggelar Salat Istisqo dan berharap agar segera diturunkan hujan.
“Semoga Allah SWT menyegerakan hujan turun di seluruh wilayah Jawa Timur,” harap Khofifah. (jek/ydk)
